Presenter for a Day

Lucia became a TV presenter for a day for the Spanish travel program “Callejeros Viajeros”. She took a TV crew from Chanel Cuatro on a London trip to show them the secrets of some of the most amazing stores and restaurants in Regent Street, St James’s and Carnaby. Hard work but totally worth it as the program was broadcasted in prime time on one of the main TV stations from Spain a week before the Royal Wedding.

Puppies and Topless Waiters

Could this be the perfect combination?! Nicole certainly thought so when she was invited to the screening of new movie, Bridesmaids. On arrival at the Leicester Square Odeon, guests were greeted by topless waiters with pick n’ mix then ushered upstairs to a puppy pen containing twelve gorgeous golden Labrador puppies in collars and bow ties. Allowing a room full of shrieking women to handle puppies raised a question of ethics but Nicole managed to put that aside and enjoy a cuddle with Herbert, isn’t he cute!!? By the way – the film was hilarious, well worth watching when it is released in June.

First Orbit - Around the World in 108 minutes

Rufus, the lucky devil, got to watch a preview of a new movie by The Attic Room titled “First Orbit” which is to have a Worldwide Premiere on YouTube in April. The Attic Room is proud to announce the global premier of ‘First Orbit’, a feature length film event that weaves historic audio recordings of the first Cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, with new footage of his orbital route.

To coincide with the 50th anniversary of man’s first journey into space, the film will premiere globally for free on YouTube at sunrise on 12 April and will be accessible from anywhere in the world. In collaboration with the European Space Agency and the astronauts onboard the International Space Station, filmmaker Chris Riley has captured the magnificence of Gagarin’s original orbit. Filmed by astronaut Paolo Nespoli, ’First Orbit’ delivers breath-taking digital, full high-definition views of the Earth from above. The footage matches the orbital path of the International Space Station as closely as possible to that of Gagarin's original route, allowing viewers to see incredible vistas of the Earth through the Space Station’s new giant cupola window.

Secret Sister Cinema

So we're told it's 1940 and The Unknown Culture Movement will struggle for beauty, for music, for art, for perfection. They will rage against the unknown forces that are strangling our imaginations. They will revolt so that they may create and the location of this up-rising is Wapping station . These were the clues sent over in secret to Sister towers for the latest Secret Cinema outing. Well it makes a difference to a psychiatric hospital in Notting Hill, the destination last time. So on Saturday night we duly donned our pencil skirts, victory rolls, head scarves, trench coats and fur stoles (thanks to a little help from our friends at The Powder Room and Beyond Retro) and headed off to lead the creative revolution in Wapping, while still trying to work out what film we'll be watching.  After greeting our fellow revolutionist's, ballet lessons were the order of the night followed by a swift (or a few swift)  martinis in the Jazz bar before settling in to watch the feature of the night. So what was the film? The 1948 classic Red Shoes of course.

Human Planet

Recently the BBC aired an amazing documentary called ‘Life’, which was based on various species of animals and their struggles to survive and how they do it in such adverse conditions. And now they have just started airing a new documentary called ‘Human Planet’, which is based on extraordinary people living in places where people really shouldn’t be able to live, like in the middle of Antarctica or 50 meters above ground in a tree! With Adam's Rock and Roll lifestyle, he has been addicted to this programme and has been urging everyone in the office to watch it. Adam has been amazed at the way people can deal with lifes little problems without the use of 21st century tools, although he’s not too keen on the Inuit delicacy of Maktaaq, which is the skin of a Narwahl! Or the Jungle children’s favourite snack of toasted tarantula! Nice!
