Carnaby 20% Shopping Party

The Sister team well and truly got stuck into the 20% Shopping Party, and can you blame us!? 20% off nearly all the stores and restaurants in the area, especially with it coming up to christmas. Most of the shops had some great in-store activities. Bombay Bicycle Club had a DJ set in Ben Sherman, free drinks were handed out in most stores and the Luminites played 3 sets on a stage in the Newburgh Quarter. Not only all that, but the Sister design team also fitted out the registration point just off Carnaby Street, (shown above).

Survive the office expedition with Wolsey

It was crumpets and marmite all round this week, when Sister announced the launch of Wolsey's 'Expedition' collection to media with the ultimate office Expedition kit. The 13 piece 'Expedition' collection is inspired by the original clothing Wolsey gave to Captain Scott for his expedition to the Antarctic in 1910. To help media with their own daily office expeditions, Sister sent 'Expedition' press kits full of the all of the essentials - Ultimate Comfort food - crumpets, marmite, Kendal Mint cake to keep those sugar levels up, Extra Strong Captain Scott tea and of course the Wolsey House check Scarf for those cold mornings. Although at the moment, with the cold biting our toes in the morning, we are also in need of the Longstaff socks and cable knit Rennick sweaters. www.wolsey.com

The Art Of Being British

What a glorious late summer day Saturday September 4 was. What a lovely day for drinking Pimms in the open air in a traffic free Jermyn Street. What a lovely day for Jermyn Street to host the first Jermyn Street garden party, The Art of Being British. What a lovely day for  being measured for bespoke shoes by Foster & Son. What a lovely day it was for making the perfect martini by Dukes Hotel (do you recognise a theme here?). What a lovely day for watching a fabulous fashion show of gorgeous models in gorgeous clothes from Beretta, Swaine Adeney Brigg, Favourbrook, Church’s and Daks. What a lovely day for flopping on a bean bag and having a story read to you in the outdoor reading room at Waterstone's. What a lovely day for sampling some hog roast from The Cavendish Hotel. What a lovely end to a lovely day on Jermyn Street.
