Coming up in February

With Febuary just around the corner some of the Sister team have let out a few things that they are excited about in the coming month.

Nicole: Three exciting events are looming on the horizon for Nicole in February.  The first ‘Team Curry’ meeting of 2012 (London’s most exclusive dining club) will take place at the beginning of the month.  The hottest import from New York, Musical Bingo at the Balham Bowls Club will be a evening of fun, games and competitive spirit.  And last but not least, Nicole is super-excited about the shiny new boiler which will arrive in February, promising the end of miserable freezing cold/scalding hot showers!

Katie: I’m looking forward to enforcing name suggestions for my sisters baby due.

Neal: All 29 days of it!

Rufus: The Woman In Black

Anders: The end of The Walking Dead season 2 Hiatus (obviously). Season 3 of Eastbound & Down. Going to Cambridge with my better half.

Sarah Mole: The BIG Egg Hunt – We can’t wait to set off on the biggest egg hunt we’ve ever been on in Feb – a hunt that is going to take us all over London on our quest to find 200 of the most beautifully painted and decorated eggs.

Hana: The 46th Superbowl, still disppointed the 49ers didn't get through not blaming anyone cough kyle williams cough. Giants to win!!

Adam:  The six nations kicks off. And then it’s SuperBowl XVIIIIIII or something. So if you like bulldozing atheletes running into each oter like me, its a great month!

What we Loved in January

January has been a productive start to 2012 for the Sister team. Here some of the team look back on the month and tell you what their highlights have been:

Sarah Mole: David Hockney RA: A Bigger Picture – Definitely lived up to the hype. 10ft tall masterpieces painted on an iPad, fluro pink roads, landscapes that transport you straight into Yorkshire’s rolling hills. Exhibition of the decade!

Lucia: The epic second half Real had at the Camp Nou on Wednesday, coming from behind and having everything against them. Shame we got knocked out of the competition but the draw tastes of victory. Hasta el final vamos Real!!!

Hana: The return of Le Va Va Voom at the Emirates

Rufus: The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo

Anders: Rick Ross ft.Styles P “Keys to the Crib” That single handedly weighed up for the massive anti-climax that was “Rich Forever”. Catching up on The Walking Dead Season 1 and half of season 2 before the season hiatus ends. My Macbook crashing for the 5th time. The Habitat Sale.

Adam: The third Maccabees album that came out on the 9th, Given To The Wild, album of the year already? Watching the whole of Frozen Planet in two days.

And from our very own grumpy old man
Neal: Nothing at all; I had 2 days off work with a painful tooth infection, pulled my hamstring and dislocated my shoulder. The latter two of my ailments mean my football season is effectively over

A star studded bash

Sarah Mole and Nicole were invited to the ultra swanky launch for The Big Egg Hunt last night.  With a celeb count including Holly Valance and Nick Candy, Nicky Haslam, James Caan and the man from the coffee ad in the 80s, it was understandable that the paps didn't get round to photographing glamorous Sisters.  Look out for giant eggs coming to Carnaby and St Martin's Courtyard soon.

New Year Resolutions

So the new year is here! And as per usual its the time for resolutions, and some of the Sister team have put theirs together. Some might get broken, some might not even start, but its the thought that counts...

Anders: Quit smoking and learn French. Ideally it should probably be learn French, then start smoking.

Neal: I want to lose 3 stone in 6 months; otherwise I wont get picked for the 100m final in the Olympics

Sarah Mole: Become an official chocolate connoisseur. If you’re going to eat chocolate, make sure it’s good chocolate

Hana: To find out the name of the guy that walks past the office everyday, possibly his surname if i'm really pushing myself.

Rufus: To grow some tomatoes, potatoes and peppers in my garden... And then eat them. Any tips most welcome.

Kay: Life is too short for resolutions. However I will be eating less Haribo's... Sort of.

Adam: Go somewhere new, somewhere eye opening that has a completely different culture.

Katie: To set up home in London and be a grown up.

Sarah Millar: To enjoy London’s Olympic year 2012 and to get to see at least one of the events.

Nicole: I haven't made any resolutions. Because I always break them.
